NPS is an unofficial fan project made by volunteers. This page tells you, in simple words, what information we keep about you, why we keep it, for how long, and what you can do about it. If something is not clear, just ask us on our Discord server.
What we collect
Here is the personal information NPS currently collects and uses:
Your account: your username, display name and email, plus a profile picture and bio if you add them. When you sign up we also ask for your date of birth, which we use once to check your age and do not keep. We never store your real password. It is scrambled so that nobody, not even us, can read it.
Codes that identify you: when you create an account or log in, we save your IP address, which is a number that identifies your internet connection. The launcher also creates a code that identifies your device. We use these only to keep NPS safe and to block people who were banned.
Bug reports: what you write, some technical details from the launcher (like your phone model and Android version), your IP address, and your username if you are logged in. If the Android launcher crashes, it can also send us a crash report by itself. Please never write passwords or private things in a bug report.
Things you choose to share: cloud saves, friends and mods you publish on the marketplace.
Other companies that help us: Cloudflare protects our website and checks that you are not a robot when you sign up, Google Cloud hosts our website and servers, and GitHub hosts our downloads. Some small icons on our pages are loaded from an image service called Simple Icons, which can see that your browser asked for them. These companies handle data on their own and have their own privacy policies.
Cookies and logs: we use one cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our servers and Cloudflare may keep basic technical logs, such as connection times and IP addresses, to keep the service secure.
On your own device: the launcher runs the game server on your phone or PC. Your saves and settings stay there unless you choose to use NPS online features or cloud saves.
We never sell your information, we do not show ads and we do not follow you around the internet.
Why we collect it
We use it to run your account and the features you asked for, to keep NPS safe, to block people who cheat or bother others, and to find and fix problems. We only do this because it is needed to run NPS and to protect the community.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the information linked to it, except what we are allowed or required to keep for security, fraud prevention, legal reasons, or to keep bans working, as explained below.
The IP address in a bug report is deleted automatically after 90 days. If you delete your account, your username and IP address are also removed from your bug reports.
If someone was banned, we keep the banned IP address or device code so the ban keeps working. We check these lists from time to time.
Your choices
You can delete your account yourself in your account settings. You can also ask us on the official Discord server to send you a copy of your information, fix it, or delete it. We will reply as soon as we can.
Children
NPS website accounts are for people who are 13 or older. NPS is for a general audience and is not aimed at children. When you sign up we ask for your date of birth to check your age. If you are under 13, we cannot create an account for you, but you can still play offline on your own device. Some countries set a higher age for using online services without a parent's permission. If that applies to you, please get permission from a parent or guardian first. If we learn that an account belongs to a child who is under the required age and does not have the needed permission, we will delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us on our official Discord server if they think their child made an account, and we may ask for some information to check the request. We do not sell children's information or use it for advertising.
Changes and security
We take care of your information as best we can, but nothing online is 100 percent safe. If we change this page, we will update the date at the top.
